LinkedIn's first million members E-mail!

Apparently, I'm an early adopter of Linkedin :-D

Still not resulted in any revenue for them :D with my free membership plan. However, the tool is fantastic; this mail makes me wanna upgrade. I think this is a great way to thank one's customers!!!

Dear Dhaval,

I want to personally thank you because you were one of LinkedIn's first million members (member number 883447 in fact!*). In any technology adoption lifecycle, there are the early adopters, those who help lead the way. That was you.

We hit a big milestone at LinkedIn this week when our 100 millionth member joined the site.

When we founded LinkedIn, our vision was to help the world's professionals be more successful and productive. Today, with your help, LinkedIn is changing the lives of millions of members by helping them connect with others, find jobs, get insights, start a business, and much more.

We are grateful for your support and look forward to helping you accomplish much more in the years to come. I hope that you are having a great year.

Sincerely,

Reid Hoffman Signature

End of another vacation. Beginning of another productive week.

Vacations are awesome. Unfortunately they end and mine's gonna end
with some sad Airport food at Delhi and a sloppy flight back to
Mumbai. However, I'm thoroughly recharged for some new product ideas,
projects and hopefully new business relationships. Damn! I will miss
the pleasant climate and dread the Mumbai heat. On the greener side, I
got to see 20+ species of wildlife at Corbett, saw snowpeaks of the
Himalayas at Kausani and went on a scenic boat ride at Nainital. My
next trip should be Leh/Ladhak. Have heard a lot about it!

That's the spirit!!!!

Harshad Maral in Tokyo writes: "I fell in love with Tokyo all over again yesterday evening, when I returned home from work with a large number of people in a really crowded train. I see in the spirit of this country, a Phoenix and believe it will rise from the ashes soon. If I leave Tokyo now, I don't think I will be able to work with the same pride when I return. I have decided to stay put and be with my Japanese friends in their time of need."
